i'm amazing because...

I saw this post on Emma's blog and decided to join in. I know that I get a little down on myself because my legs aren't as skinny as I'd like, or my clothes or boring, or my hair is a mess, or a million other reasons, but the fact is, we all have positive qualities and characteristics that derserve some attention! >> I do that "evil eyebrow" thing without trying to anytime I'm trying not to smile too big. In my drama class in high school, a group of girls would always get me to do it.

>> I love animals more than anyone I know, and I'd risk or give my life in an instant if it meant saving them. I have a special fondness for birds and turtles, and would one day love to use and share my knowledge about my avian friends in some capacity.

>> I have several different "characters" that I do in different accents, and they always seem to give my family a good laugh.

>> I'm a pretty good shot, and even though Chris won't admit it to anyone else, he told me I was WAY better at the rifle than he was even after lots of practice!

>> I can give Chris a piggyback ride (I'm 5'2" and he's 6'2") and I could squat as much as some of the guys in high school track, and I'm not sure if it's because I'm short or have bionic woman leg muscles!

>> I'm not above looking or acting foolish if it means making someone laugh.

>> I know more about cars, engines, and their components than most.

>> Give me an occasion, no matter how long ago, and I will most likely be able to tell you what I was wearing, and the outfits of those around me. Chris likes this trick when he has a meeting and wants to be sure he doesn't wear the same thing twice in a row!

1. Hair color..Au naturale..or not? I'm completely natural. I seriously don't spend enough time on my looks to keep up with coloring, and that probably makes me sound really lazy!

2. If somebody has food in their teeth or lipstick on their teeth do you tell them? Without a doubt. There have been times that I realize after the fact that I'd been talking to someone with leftovers in my teeth, and it's pretty embarrassing!

3. Would you rather have a million dollars or your vision of the perfect body? Probably the perfect body. I don't really spend that much money, so that part isn't too important, but longer, thinner legs are pretty important (and impossible at a measly 5'2").

4. Favorite magazine? This shouldn't come as a surprise, but it's Birds & Blooms. The more I talk about birds, the more I think I'm starting to look like an old lady posing as a 27-year-old blogger! I also love the Anthopologie catalogs if that counts as a magazine.

5. Bra style..lacy or plain? I'm too casual to wear anything but plain!

6. If you walked into Victoria's Secret..would you most likely come out with something sexy or comfy? I usually always wear their satin thongs, so I guess they'd be considered sexy compared to granny panties, but I don't wear the transparent feather boa nighties, if that's what you mean!

7. Do you fake and bake? NO way. I've got fair skin, so I try to avoid such close contact with those strong rays!

8. What's your favorite body part on a man? Definitely the shoulders. I like the shoulders strong and the rest of the man skinny, just like my hubby!

pretty: animals

I know that there are a few people who don't like animals, but they're the bees knees to me, and without them life just wouldn't be as cute and enjoyable! Images from weheartit and the last picture is Miss Flojo, a.k.a. Dinosaur Toes.

I also wanted to jump on the badwagon and do these questions. I've never done a questionnaire or the like on here, so I guessed it was a good time to start! Here goes...

-1. If you were stranded on a desert island and could pick one person to be stranded with you..Who would you pick? Family members not included. I'd want to be stranded with Sophie Kinsella because if I'm in a dismal situation, I'd like to be able to laugh a little, maybe then the situation wouldn't seem so bad.

-2. Do you read celebrity gossip? No. The closest I get is looking at the covers of rag mags while I stand in line at the grocery store.

-3. Favorite show you're watching this season? I've been watching Nip/Tuck since it first aired, but I stopped watching it several weeks ago. The only thing I'm watching now is the box set of The Shield.

-4. How tall are you? Technically I'm about 5' 1.5" but since I'd like to have a little extra height, I just round up and say 5' 2".

-5. What was the last book you read? The last book was The Cranberry Queen. Don't waste your time, it was terrible. I'm currently reading Wicked.

-6. Flats or heels? I'm completely anti-heels, even thought I'd like to be taller. I live in flats.

-7. If you had to choose one natural disaster to go through, what would you choose..Earthquake, Tornado, or Hurricane? I think hurricane. I don't really have a reason.

-8. Thong, panties, or (gasp) granny panties? Thong. I can't stand anything else.
