the traveler
I don't know what it is about turtles, their slow speed, their cute feet or the fact that they carry their shelter with them, but I just love them. I don't love that their population is rapidly decreasing, due in part to being hit by cars. Whether it's a country road or a four lane highway, I'll run into the road like a maniac to save these little creatures from imminent danger. This little cutie decided to take a walk on the road this morning, and I'm glad I was there to stop her! She now has a new home on our 140 acre farm.

I can't even begin to describe the beauty of Jacqleen Bleu's photography. I love the vintage, whimsical feel, I love the colors, I love that she offers you so many choices in papers, I just love it all! She's friendly, she's super talented, and she's definitely worth checking out! While you're browsing, don't forget to stop by her romantic little jewelry shop, seaunicorn. You won't be disappointed, I promise!

get in my closet!
I have a love/hate relationship with Anthropologie. I love love love their clothes, shoes, housewares and accessories, but I hate that it can't all be mine. Too bad they don't have Forever 21 prices. These are some of my current faves, ESPECIALLY the sandals! I've always had a LOVE/LOVE relationship with shoes!

Although I can't rememer just how I found this great shop (due in large part to the fact I do too much Etsy browsing for one person, in one lifetime), I'm glad I did! A fool for metal, it was lust at first sight. I love the way the metal seems to sparkle against the dark backgrounds, and one such necklace was an instant favorite, the coral and feather lariat (pictured below). My wishlist just got longer.

one of my inspirations
Could a film get any more beautiful than Marie Antoinette? I don't know, I'm having a difficult time thinking of any. While I'm inspired by many things, I love to watch this movie, not only for the storyline, but for the rich, fluffy, oh-so-feminine look of it!

Some of my current favorites that were born from no other inspiration than Marie Antoinette! cette fille collar, stormy corsage bracelet and romantic textile no. 6 bracelet.
