pretty: masks

Number one, I wish it was socially acceptable to wear pretty masks on days that aren't Halloween. I don't know why, I just like them! Number two, I was having one of those wild hair, wild eyebrows, wild everything days, and I think a mask would have helped!

Now on to the exciting news... I decided that when I had 100 followers, I'd do another giveaway. Yesterday afternoon I had 99, and by the time I went to bed, I had 102, so THANK YOU! I'll be introducing the giveaway on Saturday, so be sure to check back and enter. This will be for followers only! My way of saying thanks, folks!

  2. When the auto shut-off didn't work on the gas pump today and spewed all over the place, I wish I had a mask so everyone wouldn't have seen me blushing!

  5. Congrats on the followers! Very exciting.

I've always wanted to go to a masquerade party, the kind where you have a gorgeous ball gown and a mask covered in sparklies and feathers...but I don't think those are very common these days, and if they are, then somebody needs to send me a freakin invite ;)

The only problem with wearing masks (apart from poor peripheral vision) is if you walk into a bank or a convenience store. Could get very messy.

  14. I totally agree with you! My interest in masks started with Audrey Tatou's Zorro mask in Amelie, and from then on I have been pouncing at the chance to make masks! The recent one was for my friend who joined a beauty pageant.

Love the third pic, oversized masks are awesome! :)

  20. I also love masks. Every year I do a project with my students where we create double-sided masks: one side to display the face we show to the world, the other side to display the real face we hide on the inside. You can buy cardboard masks from the Oriental Trading company (a good place for teachers and otherwise crafty people).

Congrats on the 100+ followers! :)
