sunday down by the river

I really wanted to call it, "in a van down by the river." Only we weren't in a van, and we couldn't be as funny as Chris Farley if we tried! I skipped out on church today because I was feeling tubby and pitiful and nothing seemed to look or fit right. When Chris got home, he listened to my pity party and made me get out of the house. We ran a few errands, got some subs and went down by the river to have ourselves a little picnic while Cheesecake played in the water. I ended up feeling a lot better!

First let me say that Chris will surely murder me when he sees that I've included that last picture. He told me after I took it, "These are NOT for the internet!" At least I didn't share the ones of him doing his sexy pose! He got a little annoyed because I kept making faces instead of smiling for our picture together, so it took a lot of persuasion to get him to smile for the camera again!

We also took a walk down in the woods once we got home so I could get some pretty moss. One of the things on my to do list for tomorrow is making little terrariums.

How has your weekend been? Did you have nice, spring weather like we did?

  4. So, as soon as I saw the title for your post I thought of the Chris Farley skit. Made me laugh to see you mention it right away. (That skit is hysterical.)
Sounds like you had an awesome day, despite feeling blah-ish in the morning. I'm glad you had nice enough weather to have a picnic and be outside. We had a few this past week that were so nice that we had to be outside, but we dipped back in to winter with a light snowfall on Friday...but things like that make it easier to appreciate the nice days, instead of taking them for granted..

  5. Oh my lord! I loved charis farley in SNL. I'm sure you saw lunch lady land, that song is hilarious!

Looks like a lovely weekend. My brother turned 30 on Friday so we had a party for him. I'm not a big drinker but I was the beer pong champion!

  13. hahaha I love posting the "not internet" pictures. hey are always the best. Saturday was beautiful in the Dallas area. I wore flip flops and a didn't need a jacket, but today was ugly and rainy. boo. Y'all looked like y'all were having a lot of fun together! I hate when I have tubby pity days; Maybe you'll wake up tomorrow and feel different. You're lucky you have someone to pull you out of the house when you're in those funks. :)
